Winnipeg Jazz Festival
Winnipeg International Jazz Festival runs a new branding campaign every year. This rendition of it is a simple and contemporary design. The graphic element is highly abstract letterforms that spell out “jazz fest,” but also creates unique and varied layouts. The geometric text varies in size to represent the pops and unpredictability of jazz music. I used a modern yet funky text in the headline to bring some unexpected and fun notes to the campaign. Orange, blue and yellow are the colour choices, and straying away from the usual purple colour palette associated with jazz sets this design apart. High contrast and the use of familiar shapes make this festival campaign eye-catching and clean.
